Oh. I see.
Then again, cause the hat that the guy on the COVER wears is spoilers xP

Re: Official AAO Competition - Film Noir
So it seems. I do not care that much, actually xD
Re: Official AAO Competition - Film Noir
Ferdie asked that no sprite components from GK2 be used for any entries. It's in the rules in the first post, Daniel.Danielinhoni wrote:Oh. I see.

I know, still not a spoiler though
Re: Official AAO Competition - Film Noir
Aw.. we're not allowed to vote for Putin's?

I like to scratch sprite. Feel free to ask if you need anything :3
Not very experienced at backgrounds, action shots, nor evidence, but I'd love to try.

Not without knowing what non-aa sprites components I used xP
I mean if I were in the vote I'd still lose anyway, even though mine's the most technically impressive out of all the entries ('scuse the bragging)

Re: Official AAO Competition - Film Noir
I would've voted for Putin's as well, but well, I can't.
And I'd have to argue with that, I'm sure lots of people would've voted for yours! As you said, it's the most impressive. (And I agree.)

Re: Official AAO Competition - Film Noir
Ty for the support! I find that having some popularity (positive) can give you a better chance at winning these vote based competitions though (because the last time I entered was also a technically impressive first time sprite but that got second to last place >.>...at least, having some popularity can prevent yourself from not being voted at all).
But with mine out I can keep really clear headed about the entrants left and try to be objective as possible in which entrant succeeds at the theme of the comp the most. Looks like you're winning that :p

Re: Official AAO Competition - Film Noir
Your entry was indeed excellent, Putin, but I'm just following the rules Ferdie has set in place. If the rules weren't there, I likely would have also questioned your entry on the basis that we don't know who the AA character is meant to be. Unless the competition calls for it, generally all submissions have to be an edit of an existing AA character and not an OC. ^^'
Re: Official AAO Competition - Film Noir
^Oh ofc I completely understand, I even requested to be taken off the official entry list so no harm done!
Although the line about all submissions having to be an edit of an existing AA character is new to me. So if I participate next time are you saying I have to make it *obvious* it's an edit of an existing AA char? Because I did sorta did that with Furio Tigre being the model for the pose on my newest entry and me just working from there to find w/e I saw worked best to get authentic to the theme.
Still, even if I was part of the official voting process now, I honestly don't think I'd even win with this entry anyway

Er... my apologies for dropping the ball on this! Some IRL stuff came up for me and... I forgot that the contest... existed. I'll be back on this as soon as I can.
"A slow sort of country!" said the Queen. "Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!"

Voting will continue until this Saturday, when I'll tally the votes. Cheers!

Voting ends at 9:37 PM tonight.
So there's plenty of time to change your vote.

My "poll" ends at 9:37 PM (AEST), and... Ferdie said he'd spend Saturday counting the votes. There's no votes to count. This is done by the forum poll feature, so... ^^' And I've taken control of this now.kwando1313 wrote:Uhh... Tap. Ferdie said this Saturday, no?
