Red Truth Riddles
Alright everyone, I have a riddle for you. If you've heard this before, avoid spoiling it for the rest of everyone.
Two men were in a room with 53 bicycles. One of them ends up shooting the other with a gun, thus killing him.
Your job is to find out why the killing occurred. Feel free to ask questions, to which I'll respond with the red truth. If you think you understand what happened, post a blue truth theory in spoiler tags. I will, of course, respond with spoiler tagged red truth.
Have fun!

Let it be known that both men were alive before the shooting, and the victim died immediately after being shot.

Re: Red Truth Riddles
Was the cause of the victim's death a gunshot/bullet wound from the gun that the other man fired.Spyromed wrote: By "bicycle" do you mean a bike whose pedals need to be pushed.

I've heard this riddle before, so I'm going to challenge you on that answer. Even without considering the pedal part of the question, the question has a definite answer.TheDoctor wrote:By "bicycle" do you mean a bike with pedals that needs to be pushed.

Very well, the bicycles in question do not refer to what people might usually think of as "bicycles." The above post has been edited to reflect this red truth.Enthalpy wrote:I've heard this riddle before, so I'm going to challenge you on that answer. Re: Red Truth Riddles
If there were 54 bicycles or 52 bicycles, this murder would not have occurred.

Re: Red Truth Riddles
The murder would not have occurred if the number of bicycles was 52 or 54.
Upon advisement from the referee, I need to clarify this further.
If the number of bicycles was 52, the murder would not have occurred. If the number of bicycles was 54, the murder may or may not have occurred depending on the nature of bicycles #53 & #54. However, if the number of bicycles was 55, the murder would have definitely occurred.

Re: Red Truth Riddles
53 is significant because it is a prime number.

Re: Red Truth Riddles
53 being a prime number is irrelevant to the killer's motive.
Upon the referee's advisement, I need to clarify this further.
Before shooting the victim's, the fact that 53 is a prime number did not cross the killer's mind. However, 53 being a prime number is not entirely unrelated to the killing.
