The first brother.
Spoiler : if it's somehow right it might be a spoiler :
Is the card they pick the resteraunt that the other brother has to go to?
The card they pick is the restaurant they have to go to.

Do you need to know a lot about food to solve this?
Not particularly, I'd say. You might need to know a bit about something else though...

Is one of the restaurants a specific restaurant? (e.g. Burger King)

Are the brothers characters from a work of fiction?

Is there wordplay involved in this riddle?
Spoiler : Blue Truth :
The first brother orders tacos, because the restaurant that the other brother picked served tacos, but only fish tacos.

Neither is a specific restaurant.

Are the brothers characters from a work of fiction?

Technically, they would be since this is a fictional situation. But let's just say no for simplicity's sake.

This riddle doesn't utilize wordplay, but it's answer could count as using it.
Spoiler : Blue Truth :
The first brother orders tacos, because the restaurant that the other brother picked served tacos, but only fish tacos.
Blue truth... Not accepted!
For transparency's sake, let's say that they have to order using the exact same words. So, the second brother wouldn't have to order a fish taco, they'd just have to order a taco. Restaurants serve exactly what order they hear, without adding any extra words to it. So, to order a fish taco you'd have to directly order a fish taco.

Time to reuse an old German LRMB ... (don't spoil it if you were there)

Hobo-Phoenix is found dead in a locked room.
He was murdered by Kristoph Gavin.
However, Kristoph has never been inside the room.
At the time of death, Kristoph wasn't even anywhere near the room.

How did Kristoph do it?

Was poison involved?

Is the room sealed, or can outside events influence it in real time?

Is the door closed?

Are the windows closed?

Are there any openings in the walls?
The score is still Q to 12. Shirley Homes avatar by my Invisible Friend. They're an awesome artist!

Wright died in a cell because Kristoph got him framed for the murder of Shadi Smith (or anything really; basically Kristoph framed Wright for something and Wright got executed)

All instances of "room" and "locked room" in the context of this riddle refer to the same room, unless clearly specified otherwise.
Calvinball wrote:Was poison involved?
There is no poison involved.

All doors and windows are closed at the time of discovery.
There are no relevant openings in the boundaries of the room, other than the doors and windows.

Clarify the first question, please. Can you give an example what you mean by outside events influencing the room?

Did Phoenix starve die instantaneously?

Is the fact it's Kristoph and Phoenix relevant/helpful?
