Yeah I know, I'm probably going to end up submitting mine on the deadline.
I'm kinda a really big procrastinator...

Great. I'm in the position where I kinda want you to do one for mine but I don't want to force unnecessary pressure on you. What to do?bigwins wrote:Okay, so because I'm anticipating having quite a few to work through here, I'm thinking I'm not gonna do SoCs this time around (unless any of y'all REALLY want one)

Re: Setting the Stage
Honestly, I might as well. Only one that's definitely out is Arrow's (as I've finished it, lol), but since I only have three in so far I can do yours asap.

Re: Setting the Stage
Personally, I like stream of consciousness, both as an author (so I can see immediate reactions to specific parts of the case, see which jokes landed, how a player is interpreting the mystery, etc) and as a comp judge (because I have lots of fun being snarky in them, and making it is both easy for me and functions as notes for my longer review) but I also don't want to force any more work on you than necessary.

Re: Setting the Stage
I'm fine with whatever method works best for you. There are a lot of cases to go through so I don't mind if it's just a review or overall notes. I do see the appeal of an SoC though.
Also one question, when we submit, do we add you (bigwins) as a playtester? Or do we make the case public, then share the link?
(Just waiting on Ann-nna's go ahead to submit part 1. I have a feeling no one's gonna playtest it so LOL might as well just submit).

Re: Setting the Stage
Adding the judge as a playtester and then PMing them the link is the traditional way of doing it. You can always revoke their playtester status after the comp is over.SuperAj3 wrote:Also one question, when we submit, do we add you (bigwins) as a playtester? There's a small possibility that it'll be me, but like, it's a reeeeeeeeaaaaaally small chance.DJJ6800 wrote:Hm. It depends on how motivated I feel before I realize on April 22 that the comp ends today, and then I just finish the whole thing that day
Also, this kinda crap is why the above scenario will happen

Re: Setting the Stage
Hopefully our entry's good. It's only 1/4 of an entire case (and around 50 mins play time), so it's not that much overall.
That being said, I'm still proud of it LOL
Forgot to celebrate submissions with a screenshot.

Re: Setting the Stage
I've been feeling pretty motivated recently, aka pressured, so I might possibly finish the rewrite of part 1 today and submit it.
I'm also hyped to play everyone else's entries, especially Turnabout Tape Recorder

Provided the case takes place inside a Tape Recorder, I’ll be satisfied.DWaM wrote:be careful what you wish forSalamence wrote:especially Turnabout Tape Recorder
