Disappearance Animation Not Working

Post by Chocoflair »

For some reason, all of the disappearance animations including Fade Out, Slide out to the left and right doesn't work. Is there a solution for this? Btw, i'm using AAI characters assigned to the left or right, and some custom AAI backgrounds. (I really needed to use Fade Out but it isn't working somehow.)

Make sure you set the fades to fade in and out "everything" otherwise they won't work as intended. This setting is in the frame's properties (along with the popups, location and character settings).
Those slide left and right will work when you remove the characters from a future frame or have a frame with the same bg but no character prior. They're entry/exit animations.

Is there a different way on using the Disappearance Animation Fade Out other than using the Fade Out "everything" feature?

Do you mean a character fading out? If you set the character to fade out, they will automatically when you set the on-screen characters to 'none' in your next frame.

Please demonstrate it in a video or via screenshots. I can't clear what you're saying, thank you.

To use an example from a case I made:
Look at how I've set an appearance and disappearance animation for the character here on frame 861. As there is no character shown in frames 860 and 862, the Appearance Animation "slide in from the left" will play when the game moves from frame 860 to 861. Then, the Disappearance animation "slide out to the right" will play when moving from frame 861 to 862. You can play my case from that point on here if you want to see it in action.

Fade out works identically to those 2.
