Re: [E] CSS in editor
I don't think this is something that's likely to be implemented anytime soon. I agree it would be cool to have, and it's certainly not impossible , but there are indeed security concerns, and they could be wide-reaching. Allowing for this would likely require for a huge refactor of AAO's code and a ...

Re: Any plans to Add Stop All Sound effects AND/OR custom Bleps?
I don't even think it's that hard to implement, it's already all coded in for the Music. The main issue with the current implementation of sounds and music is that the trial player currently does not keep track of which sound effects are playing, as sound effects tend to be a "fire-and-forget&...

Werwolf when? Intere...

Re: Static Testing on Firefox
That worked, thanks. Although since I can't actually save a trial that way, it's not too great for actually testing if features work beyond the UI. I guess I'll probably have to just bite the bullet and set up the SQLite/PHP stuff to properly test. Yes, that was going to be my suggestion anyway. Yo...

Re: Static Testing on Firefox
Try the following in Firefox: Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Accept any disclaimers that may pop up. In the search bar, search for "privacy.file_unique_origin". Double-click that entry - which should currently be set to "true" - to set it to &q...

Re: [E] Invisible Textboxes
Okay, can you give me an example of a scene like this in the main games, that has text but not the grey textbox? Is it really that important to have this backed by anything from the main games? As far as I'm aware, the main games also don't show any variables inside the text box at any point - but ...

Re: Center names in textboxes
In most AA games, it's centered, but it's left aligned in DD and SoJ. I'd say we center it, since AAO is "emulating" the DS/GBA games, not the 3DS games - as such, we should probably stick to their style. Perhaps we could make it customizable if we ever get around to implementing differen...

Re: [E] Grayscale filter and custom sprite X positioning/movement speed
Ah, good to hear grayscale is already in the works. I would think it would just be as simple as applying CSS grayscale filters to all sprites and background images, but I guess that alone isn't enough? Well, I'll trust that those working on it know what they're doing. Sure, but that would probably ...

Re: [E] Grayscale filter and custom sprite X positioning/movement speed
Your first suggestion is already in the works, though it's a bit more complicated to implement than you might think (mostly since it has a larger scope than just grayscale). Enthalpy will be able to tell you more about this, I think. Your second suggestion certainly sounds doable - I'll have to take...

Re: [P] loading_images bar no longer appearing, cannot start any trial.
This is a known issue - one which only recently come to Enthalpy's and my attention - that I strongly suspect to be a consequence of our recent change to how AAO handles and plays audio. The issue seems to appear in trials that have music or audio tracks with a defined volume of over 100. Our old au...

Re: [Music] ThePaSch's Magnificent Musical Muse
It's been 6 months-ish again - so, yep, it's time for a new track! This time, we ponder the case's new unexpected developments as we desperately wait for someone to just finally Confess the Truth ... but it won't be that easy, of course, will it? I didn't do anything overly fancy with this one - it ...

Re: [E] Seeing where Elements are used
I wouldn't say a button or a menu would be the best way to do this. The way I see it, just have a little icon somewhere on an item's frame; hovering over it would display frames that depend on it in a little tooltip. That's non-invasive, self-explanatory once you've hovered over it once, and doesn't...

Re: Sounds will cut-out mid-trial!
Sandoozles: The next time this happens to you, could you hit F12 on your keyboard while having the AAO browser tab in focus, navigate to the Console tab in the new dock that opens, and let me know if there are any lines of text with a red background ? Those would be (mostly) Javascript errors; some ...

Re: Request to add missing sfx/music
If it's too much to host, I understand. I think that was one bit of the rationale that I've seen about this topic in the past. Another is that this is a 2D case maker, in the style of the old DS games, so including DS5+ content would feel out-of place. It would also either mean only including it pa...

Posts on the front page still seem like a mess of BBcode. Do you have any idea what could be causing that, Unas?
