I know this one as well. There's one important fact that you need to know, because it's extremely unfair otherwise. The murder method is not scientifically possible, although it sounds like it MIGHT work. (Giving my hint in bold indigo because who liked Virtual anyway?)

I've got to wonder if the reason why they couldn't arrest the woman was because they literally couldn't? Possibly, she was too injured to be arrested.
