I know that. That's why I said it was too hard on Unas to do.
He robbed from the rich, and he gave to the poor
Stood up to the man, and gave him what for
Our love for him now, ain't hard to explain
The hero of Canton, the man they call Jayne

Re: Rule Discussion Topic! (A place to help make a change!)
1) If that's how people are going to think, then they really need to rethink things. If they're not criticized in the DT, then they won't learn as much. If it's something they did that screwed the Town's chances of winning, then maybe the DT mocking them would be overkill. But if it's something more easily overlooked, say the way the person acts in-game, or something more minute, then perhaps the DT would be what points out their errors.I realize that you really should not let the Dead Thread pressure you and get to your head, however I could see people getting persuaded not to post a particular argument just to see it getting laughed at by the DT. And you wouldn't even know if they were laughing at you or not, because you can't check.
However, yes, Regy, then people would have no reason to stay.
EDIT: How about Vent...?
2) Exactly. There are more cons than pros for removing the DT.
3)And I'm not allowed to use Vent. Anyone in CR's Round VI TW can verify this.
No one said everyone reads it during the game. Just, it'd be quite easy and undetectable to do, but....Once they know the information, it's not like they can do anything with it. If they did, then it'd be painfully obvious that they'd read the DT. So there's no real merit in it anyways, unless you're extremely manipulative. What makes you think that everyone reads the DT during the game?
....But that doesn't mean you can just because you're manipulative! D<
GENO EDIT: Spam is not allowed. A digression WITHIN a post is understandable, as long as it isn't the bulk of the post.
Thank you for the sig, Kuro~

Like a bolt from the blue-
Here comes a rule change summary,
From me to you!
These are the rules currently up for debate (the ones being handled, or already handled are not shown):
I'm considering changing the investigation rule, but I want to see the full side of both issues.
As for a DT, I agree with Ghalley-bear. If sensitivity is an issue, PM's solve that. Otherwise, it's an honor code.

If I'm missing anything, please tell me.- Investigation rule change?

DT, although full of serious business, it's a place where the dead move on and talk, so they'll still feel a part of the game. Sure there's PMs, but the DT brings a whole group of fun, dead people. PMs are nice, but only a group can bring the lolz. >_>
I think we should keep it.
I think we should keep it.

Re: Rule Discussion Topic! (A place to help make a change!)
Yeah, have to agree with SJB on this one. I can't picture there not being a DT, and really, there's only one good reason to get rid of it, which would be to keep living players from viewing sensitive material. Which kind of confuses me, because we usually try to keep things like that out of the conversation. Not always, but usually. Like how CR uses spoiler tags. (We don't have those here.)
Investigations should definitely be changed, in the way that they work in general. The way they are now, they're too much of a crutch for the Town. They should be less dependable, but enough so that they're not useless. I found that a fifty-fifty investigation was okay, and simple to figure out. The way that worked was that, one target was true, one target was false. Then a Mafia role could manipulate my results....I like the idea of manipulation, but then you'd have to create a role each game just for the purpose of manipulating the cop. Hmm...

You're supposed to say Geno Edit!
Why don't we have rules in the DT? You can talk to each other about the game, just don't bash the players...?

Rules in the DT? Now there's an idea! Lesee.....Definitely no bashing. Perhaps something about discussion sensitive material pertaining to the game?
Thank you for the sig, Kuro~
Re: Rule Discussion Topic! (A place to help make a change!)
Why can't you discuss sensitive materials in the game? As you pointed out, it does nothing.
If you look up a Mafia in the DT, it will be so obvious, especially if they're a good player. Plus, the whole point of the game is to figure out who's who. What's the point in looking at the DT...?

Re: Rule Discussion Topic! (A place to help make a change!)
True, but it would be a great injustice if we were to assume everyone played perfectly and didn't look at the DT. You can't tell me it's never happened. There have to be at least some precautions, even if they're minor.
Thank you for the sig, Kuro~

Ask Unas. Or Santa.
But yeah, that'd be nice, but it'd just be a band-aid over the problem, know what I mean?

Here comes a rule change summary,
From me to you!
These are the rules currently up for debate (the ones being handled, or already handled are not shown):
For the DT thing, I'm making that mandatory. It's an honor system. Don't abuse it. Don't put uber sensitive info on there.
As for the investigation rule change, that's still up for debate.
For Wildcard rules, I'm changing it now.

Re: Rule Discussion Topic! (A place to help make a change!)
Investigations and wildcards should be at the GM's discretion.
Also, Geno, why were you on but you haven't replied to me yet? T_T

For the wildcard change, that's the thing we talked about with the wildcard themselves just deciding where to go, correct?
