Technically, anyone can say they affiliated a wildcard. Doesn't mean they're telling the truth. The only way to prove it would be to show people the PM, which would be against the rules, because no one can quote the GM. So sharing might not work so well, which is probably a good thing.See, but the people who get it can share with the other players, as well. Also, not telling who affiliated who achieves the paranoia Geno said he was looking for, because not even the wildcard knows who they can trust.

Re: Rule Discussion Topic! (A place to help make a change!)
I like the fact that even if you affiliate a Wildcard into the Town, those that affiliated the Wildcard are not proven Townie. It makes the game so much more fun.
Investigations...Well...If you have a role or power that says "You appear Townie/Mafioso", no matter the investigation results whether it be power or HP it will turn up this result.
That would be the only thing I have to say about Investigations at this time.

Re: Rule Discussion Topic! (A place to help make a change!)
This is debatable. Technically, a HP investigation should always work, especially if it has consequences such as your own death (OHAICRACKER). It seems a bit unfair to die but show your two 'completely accurate' investigations as a reward for the Town when one of them turns out to be wrong. Then again, if your role says 'You appear Townie/Mafioso' it shouldn't work at all.Ghaleon wrote:Investigations...Well...If you have a role or power that says "You appear Townie/Mafioso", no matter the investigation results whether it be power or HP it will turn up this result.

If you're going to make HP investigations 100% accurate all the time you have to include that in the Mafia role PM, like 'You appear Townie unless investigated by a HP'. However, that basically reveals a HP to you... I think just writing that in the rules every time (whether or not there is an investigation HP) would be enough.
Scribble, we miss you.

Re: Rule Discussion Topic! (A place to help make a change!)
I think that it should be the other way around, and include in the HP description, "This HP is 100% accurate unless the target's role says otherwise."
Investigations are overpowered, anyways.

I agree with Forcemaster. Just put that in the HP's description.

I agree with Forcemaster. But to completely avoid the conflict in the first place, one could simply avoid having both roles in the same Round....But thinking about it, that wouldn't work, because always appearing Townie is pretty much a large part of the Godfather roles, and the Town kinda needs to have an investigator so....Yeah. *agrees with Force*
Thank you for the sig, Kuro~

Geno, I believe this is proof we need a round without an investigator.
For starters, really, you don't need an investigator. It makes things easier on the town, yes, but that doesn't mean it's required. People should be able to figure out who's what by intuition, logic, or any number of other tacts.
Of course, I'm sure a couple other people could argue, or rather, explain this better.

I am unofficially in charge of the next round (until Geno gets back and finally gives the final word), and just so you know, there isn't an investigative role.

I rather not anyone be in charge of anything, officially or unofficially until Geno gives the word. It can be seen as disrespectful as there are others in the running for the next Gamemaster.

Seriously force, just be patient. Like I said to you before, Geno is just a little sick, he didn't move to Israel or something.

Since genodragon pointed to this thread in the living thread, how about some "You're Dead" PM's? I remember receiving those back in the days when I was playing at CR and died. All it said was something like "You're dead so use only the Dead Thread from now on".

Re: Rule Discussion Topic! (A place to help make a change!)
I don't know about making them mandatory. If enough people feel the urging need to make this mandatory for all rounds, then please voice so. Currently, I am of the opinion that it is to the GM's discretion, but I feel I can be swayed.Nego wrote:Since genodragon pointed to this thread in the living thread, how about some "You're Dead" PM's?
