Re: Short and Sweet
I'll be submitting, but still have a good part to write. Just need to get through this final "present", which has been a real Payne in the Butz, but I'm just about done with it. It should be full steam ahead from there.
EDIT: Did a solid 300 more frames today, and only have about 50 more frames to go until that's the last of the scripting. Graphics are pretty much done, so it'll just be extensive testing afterwards. Looks like I'll be submitting something. Hoo ray. I'll be fully taking advantage of PST being 19 hours behind AEST tomorrow.

Less than eighteen hours to go, and still at only three entries.

I have about half of the last CE to go now, and around eleven hours left I think.

A little over six hours now. Up to four entries.

Re: Short and Sweet
Nope. Forget it. Can't be done.
I have maybe 200 frames, 5 backgrounds, and 2 sprites that need finishing in the next 3 hours.
I've spent the majority of the last 12 hours working on this and I just can't keep going.
For what it's worth, I'll definitely finish the case. Just not in time for this.

Re: Short and Sweet
You could always just placeholder it to death and submit that, then finish it after the comp. Might as well try, right?

Re: Short and Sweet
If only. These are pretty vital graphics. Things with major contradictions in them. I can't placeholder these.drvonkitty wrote:You could always just placeholder it to death and submit that, then finish it after the comp. Might as well try, right?
Plus, it's doubtful I can even do the 200 frames alone.

Two hours remain!
"A slow sort of country!" said the Queen. "Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!"

Re: Short and Sweet
Edit: 12 minutes remain.
That's 18 hours behind, I believe.
I am tempted to allow a small grace period in light of this misunderstanding, and the knowledge that Tap announced the work complete earlier and in testing. But I would also like to get to sleep knowing how many entries got in...............
Edit: and there we go, Tap beat the clock.
Um, Tap?I'll be fully taking advantage of PST being 19 hours behind AEST tomorrow

19 hours, actually. The state I live in (Victoria) observes Daylight Savings Time (DST).Ferdielance wrote:Edit: 12 minutes remain.

In any case, I sent the PM with my trial! But, um... the opening post says nothing of the sort of my timezone disqualifying me. Discriminating based on timezones would be rather unfair, since I could argue when this competition was posted, my timezone was 18/19 hours ahead of PST. Plus, your first post includes GMT, as well. 11:59 PM PST, January 13, 2015] is [6:49 PM AEST-DST, January 14, 2015]...
Could you clarify please?
EDIT: When I said I'd be taking "advantage" of PST being behind my timezone, I meant that I didn't actually have to submit it by the 13th in my timezone, because it was still the 12th in PST! ...If that makes sense. Too tired at the moment.

Good luck to all participants!
