Re: Breakin' Da Rules
Oh, that rule was just there to make sure the comp thread got locked when the comp was over? oh ok
(Meph has always started suspiciously hanging around the comp thread when it got near the end, so I guess that's why nobody ever had to PM him before)

Re: Breakin' Da Rules
Thanks for all the congrats guys! It was a blast to collab with DWaM. It was also a blast to be a part of (currently) the most successful competition on AAO.
Also, @Tap, you may have noticed, if you went to the source code, that the photobucket folder where I stored all my content was actually called Turnabout of Today... xD

Congratulations, DWAndo. May you both have much luck with your ventures in the fancase world.
And make Gumpei get all jealous again.
Cuz that was funny.

Re: Breakin' Da Rules
Congradations my good DWaMstar! I concede defeat(like it was obvious enough).
Now I just need to think... should I host the next comp...
(and if I do who's going to help me make sure my OP is grammatically acceptable?)

Congrats to the winners!
And zeta, you can always make a "who makes the most grammatically incorrect" trial comp. You wouldn'T need to worry about the spelling of your OP.

So how about them sub-awards, I understand that they can be redundant, but I'd like to see some.

Re: Breakin' Da Rules
Hey, I bribed the right person! Though I guess it wasn't enough... I think this proves my theory that I can finish a case only if I don't publicly announce that I'm making it until the last minute. Good to know...Gumpei wrote:Did you guys accidentally look down one comp. too low and think Burr was hosting it? You're bribing the wrong people!
And I still won Best Most Comedy, right?
Say, who hosts the next comp?

Re: Breakin' Da Rules
From what I gathered, it was Zeta, as someone said that DWaM said that he wouldn't host if he won.

zeta should host the comp
and the theme should be that there must be at least one plot-relevant typo in the case

Re: Breakin' Da Rules
...
Yeah, I don't have much more to say than that. XD Really, from the entires I played, I'd say all of them did a good job (now that Zeta's won second place, I have found myself a new thing to do over the weekend, it appears). I want to thank kwando for helping me make the case to what it turned out to be, thank the judges for playing through the entry and enjoying it as they did, and, of course, my competitors for giving the the urge to drive forward (seriously, chances are the thing wouldn't have gotten past prologue if I hadn't gotten jealous of eight's progress. XD)
I like to think I'll inspire people to bring out their A-game to try and defeat my throne of darkness (after all, let's be honest here - nobody wants me to get the hat, do they now?). Well... It's how I see it, anyway. Still though, if it ended, It'd be pretty awesome. With me being on the top, I mean.clcman wrote:And thus, there era of AAO comps ended, all thanks to DWAM.
I wish luck to the next comp judge, to which I can only say this:
It began with Stinson, it must end with Stinson.

Re: Breakin' Da Rules
I meant that we will now have a dynastic dispute which will send us spiraling into civil war over who is the true heir to the comp. Collaborator will turn against collaborator, admin will turn against admin, and from the shadows, DWaM will be watching and silently chuckling as we fall off the cliff into Armageddon.
Either that, or everyone will assume that someone else will put up a new comp, then we'll all procrastinate and in a year there still won't be one.
