Meh. OoT is really nothing special.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
If music made a game, Sonic would never have had any trouble.

ST has some good music. Too bad the game itself is still bad.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I didn't like ST or PH THAT much. I didn't hate it but yeah.
In terms of favorites it's either Skyward Sword or Wind Waker.
(Also Skyward sword's art is hella cool i just realized this)

Yeah, SS was pretty cool. Story and art was great, but the backtracking was terrible. Make a new dungeon instead of visitin every area twice.

There's actually an explanation for this:Mo! wrote:Yeah, SS was pretty cool. Story and art was great, but the backtracking was terrible. Make a new dungeon instead of visitin every area twice.
The title before SS (TP) had an IMMENSE field. Problem? There was literally NOTHING to do on it. Solution? They made you interact A LOT with the field on VARIOUS times (as if the field itself was a small/big dungeon). But, alas, they took it to an extreme. Hopefully, after experimenting with both extremes (TP and SS) they can try and emulate a reasonable field. :3

Actually didn't OoT do that a lot too?Mo! wrote:Yeah, SS was pretty cool. Story and art was great, but the backtracking was terrible. Make a new dungeon instead of visitin every area twice.
You had to visit the Kokiri forest twice, Death Mountain twice, crazy zora land twice, the only NEW area was the gerudo deserts.
And no i do not count the shadow temple as a new area.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Yeah, but that actually made a lot of sense because it fit nicely with the future and past theme. Besides, the dungeons themselves were never repeated -- even if you just look at theming, the only repeats are the Fire Temple / Dodongos Cavern.Unknown Detective wrote:Actually didn't OoT do that a lot too?Mo! wrote:Yeah, SS was pretty cool. Here:
Ancient Cistern, and Skyview temple. Same area, different theme.
I'll give you the Earth temple and fire sanctuary though.EDIT: Wait, they are a bit different because Fire Sanctuary isn't just HELLA LOTS OF LAVA YOLO.
In design Lanaryu Mining Facility and Sandship were WAAAAY different, they both have sand because they're in a desert though. that's hard to avoid. Same area different theme kinda
And then we have Sky Keep which is essentially Ganon's castle from OoT.
EDIT:
Plus the areas IN THE GAME do change a lot.
The Forest in SS becomes flooded.
The Eldin Volcano gets taken over by Moblins
Lanayru desert gets a new area for you to explore: But it is a bit bland.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I wasn't saying that. I was saying that OoT's weren't repeated. Nobody would call, say, the Water Temple "identical" or even really "similar to" Jabu-Jabu's Belly.
Actually, come to think of it, no two dungeons in OoT -technically- were in the same area. Kokiri Forest =/= Lost Woods, Goron City =/= Death Mountain Peak, etc. The only time it happens is with mini-dungeons like the well and the ice cave.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Never played OoT. But I could imagine that it's not that bad, because of the time-change. In SS there is not that much change and it often lasts just about half an hour.Unknown Detective wrote:Actually didn't OoT do that a lot too?Mo! wrote:Yeah, SS was pretty cool. Rumor has it that Wii U Zelda will be released on Autumn/Winter '15.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Oracle of Seasons/Ages is now officially out on the 3DS virtual console! Purchased them as soon as I heard about the release. I've only ever owned Seasons, and had to get my codes via websites to unlock the final part of Seasons (and many extras). Unfortunately, it seems that the emulator uses the Game Boy Color, so it is now impossible to get the Advanced Rings, so 100% completion is impossible.
since 2008!

Re: The Legend of Zelda
There's a Ring Code Generator online somewhere beyond the seeeeeeeeeeeeeea that you can use to generate the GBA-only rings.
