[E] Preset Bench and Judge Graphics For Courtroom Image
In the Editor, the courtroom gifs are always empty (aside from the gallery). I would really love it if you could implement "preset graphics" for the witness, defense, prosecution and Judge. I don't want to go to all the hassle of playing "sprite-sheet trigonometry" just to get the graphics for the defense attorney(s)/prosecutor/Judge/witness(es).

Re: [E] Preset Bench and Judge Graphics For Courtroom Image
It's not impossible, but it would be a hassle.
The problem is that the benches aren't quite at the same position for the two courtrooms, so for every sprite, you'd need to set its position in the AJ courtroom and in the PW courtroom. I can add this to the list, but it's not going to be a priority for me.
If somebody wants to volunteer, I can give them guidance on what exactly needs to be done.

I'd gladly volunteer. I could probably find a way to automate it using Photoshop's batching tool, but if not, no big deal.

Thanks, Enthalpy! Oh, and if you do decide to make an "AAO v7," I hope this is at least implemented, along with my "custom cutscenes" idea!Enthalpy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 12:33 am It's not impossible, but it would be a hassle.

Thanks for offering to help Enthalpy, dude! I'm sure he'll need all the help he can get!ChingKittyCat wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 6:29 pm I'd gladly volunteer. I could probably find a way to automate it using Photoshop's batching tool, but if not, no big deal.

Thanks! Here's what I need for each courtroom sprite:ChingKittyCat wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 6:29 pm I'd gladly volunteer. I could probably find a way to automate it using Photoshop's batching tool, but if not, no big deal.
- The file of the sprite itself, against a transparent background. This way, it can be put onto any court.
- The x and y coordinates where the sprite goes for both the PW and AJ backgrounds. The top-left corner of the screen is (0, 0), and (x, y) means that the sprite is shifted x pixels right and y pixels down. Measure coordinates from the top-left corner of the sprite. These coordinates will be used for foreground objects, so if you're confused, play around with the foreground object feature in the Places tab.

Sure. Sounds pretty easy! All my years of measuring pixels in digital art programs are going to come in handy. I'll go ahead and find those sprites (lots of them have been submitted to this forum already as well as other sprite resource places) and get that done for you. If I'm committed it'd probably take me about a day or so. I'll DM you about my progress. I'll probably make a spreadsheet for all of it.Thanks! Here's what I need for each courtroom sprite:

Great! There's no rush from me, as it'll probably take time for these to get onto AAO anyways. (There's a bugfix I want to get in for the next AAO update.)
