[P] "Crossfade to same playback position" doesn't work with looping tracks

What happened?: When selecting "Crossfade to same playback position" on a track that loops, instead of crossfading to the same playback position, it crossfades to the loop point instead.
What did you expect to happen?: It should crossfade to the same playback position.
Can you reproduce the problem?: Yes, as seen in the linked example trial.
What did you do before the problem showed up?: Created a non-looping track and crossfaded it to the same playback position, to show how it should normally work, then created looping versions of the tracks and tried it with those.
