Can you reproduce the problem?: Open up a trial with an investigation scene on mobile -> Hold your phone vertically -> Attempt to examine a scene.
What is the problem?: When playing a case using the recent mobile layout, the "back" button for a scene doesn't show up when holding the phone vertically. The button appears correctly when holding the phone horizontally.

Confirming this also happens on chrome android.

Thanks for the report! A fix for this issue is in the pipeline. It will probably make it into the next update.

In the meantime, you can work around this bug by flipping to landscape mode, where the back button does display properly. (Yes, it is a pain!)
