[RP] Fire Emblem: Wish of the Goddess

Story
Countless lives have been lost and blood spilled over the continent of Virrius. The vastly different nations had tried their best to compromise to make peace after the last War of the Goddess. It is said that every sixty years, a War of the Goddess ravages upon the lands, meaning death spreading over ground and sea. The winner of the war is the one that has gathered all the Holy Treasures of every nation on Virrius - and heads to her temple, being bestowed upon a single wish that can be anything, from salvation to destruction.

To the south lies the desert kingdom of Senisse, its wisdom bestowed upon by it's ever so knowledgable and elegant ruler Queen Eliza. The magical hot dunes of Senisse make it an attractive point for any kinds of mages and adventurers to take a stop by. Even treasure hunters try their luck to see if something lies beneath the sands...
Northwest of Senisse is Trop, well-known for its location at the ocean and it's many, many ports. You can see hundreds of ships coming and going day in, day out. It's also a popular location for merchants.
East of Trop and in the center of Virrius lies the large nation, well known for it's stable democracy and army, Cellean. Protected by walls and a mountainside, and stocked with some of the best soldiers of the lands, Cellean is a country that simply displays all good in Virrius. The ruler of it is Lord Sigmund, who posesses countless years of noble blood. His royal bloodline had participated in the War of the Goddess every sixty years as a mediator, to stop all the wrong ideals that the other nations may have.
Next to Cellean lies the more shady nation Ruth - it is known for it's mounted and flying warriors, and its said below its foundation lies an unlimited supply of the darkest magic imaginable... Ruth has been known to be one of the most driving force in past Wars because of the Emperor, who rules by an iron fist, named Rienth.

But our story begins in the cold nation Eissere, where snow and ice cover the lands every time of the year. It is also said that under all the white snow, countless ruins and old temples would be found... It's a more calm nation but it's army is something respect, with it's fliers and sword users.
Here, we have a group of adventurers setting out to find out more about the mythical temples and any other holy treasures...
Welcome to the FE RP reboot! As you can guess, this RP is based off the Strategy RPG Game Series Fire Emblem. If you have never played Fire Emblem or play it casually - no worries! The players will, of course, help each other out, just like a real army. (even though we aren't an army yet!) So feel free to join!

With a rundown of the story gone and an introduction as to how this is taking place, let's get started by explaining what is probably the biggest thing that needs it:

Gameplay
Premise:
Just like regular Fire Emblem, allied units are moved on a map (gridded to make moving in posts possible) with several actions to take.
Image
Take this example:
The blue units are allied units. Every player character will be controlling one unit (and later possibly two).
The red units are enemies. These work against you, obviously enough.
The green units are NPCs. I will be controlling these. NPCs serve various purposes, like being characters you can recruit or soldiers that are helping you out, etc.

The battle part of a chapter is divided into three phases for each turn: The Player Phase, which is where everyone moves their units, the Enemy Phase, where enemies will move and attack, and the Other Phase, where the NPCs move.

BE WARY: Each turn will have a time limit of max. 12-18 hours (still need to decide) so we don't have to wait on posts for days. If your character is not moved by then, they either will sit still or be moved by me. If you don't want this, be sure to make an action in that time! A turn ends when every character has moved or the time limit has ran out.

Each chapter (aka map) has a different goal to finish the chapter successfully - most of these are, however, "Rout all enemies," "Kill the boss" or "Seize the throne". Yet some maps will have different goals - but we'll be getting to those when the time calls for it.

Map actions:
There are several actions to take when controlling your character unit in the player phase, namely:
  • Attack - if you are next to an enemy, or an obstacle, you may attack it and engage in battle! If requested, I will show you the odds of how the battle will turn out, but more of this later. (Healer characters also get an additional Staff menu, where they can choose from a staff to use)
  • Item - You may re-equip yourself to choose a different weapon, or use a consumable item etc. However, if you consume/use an item, your turn is over.
  • Wait - End your turn. You cannot do anything after ending your turn for the remaining duration of the player phase.

However, there are also several other actions that can be performed when standing next to units (regardless of alignment) or on buildings.
  • Talk - If your character can talk to an enemy, ally or NPC, use this action! You will, of course, engage in dialogue. This can end up as recruiting a unit to our army, or just simple character interaction/development.
  • Trade - You can trade items with any other ally unit. However, this will need consent from both players as looting stuff from others just like that isn't very nice you jerk.
  • Visit/Shop - If you stand on a tile with a village or house, you can visit it! This will often result in getting new items or even new allies!
How to post in battle:
Bear with me here - this might be a mouthful.

Let's take that map from earlier again:
Image
We shall be assuming we're controlling the mage (ty NN), the dude with the cape and hat. Let's say our aim is to attack that bandit left to the other one. Our action could look like this:
"Mage moves 1S, 2E (or down then right, whatever) and attacks the bottom Brigand with his Fire."
What you can see from this is the basic post formula when traversing on the map: Movement -> Action. If your action is attack, then: Movement -> Attack, name Target -> Name Weapon you will attack with
More on weapons and battle just a little later. Let's list other possible posts:
"Mage moves 2E and talks to the NPC."
"Mage moves 1S, equips his Thunder instead of Fire, and uses a vulnerary."
"Mage moves 1W and trades his Vulnerary for an Elixir."
And it goes on and on... as long as your action is possible, anything goes. Keep in mind that you obviously want to make the best possible choice if you do not want to endanger yourself.

Next up - Battle:
Image
Here's a picture of FE7 - the unit Lowen wants to attack an enemy. Here's his odds of how battle will turn out. Odds are not necessary to post, but if asked for, they will be posted. Let's take this slowly:
HP - obviously enough, both sides' current HP. If either of them reaches 0, they will die, permanently. Yes, this also applies to allied units. Welcome to Fire Emblem - if the HP of your unit reaches zero, they will permanently die. So proceed with utmost caution.
Mt - stands for might. This is the attack power each unit will be attacking with. Cut off: x2. If your speed stat is 5 above that of the enemy, you will attack a second time after their counterattack! On the topic of counter attacks, here's the flow of battle itself: If you engage in a fight, it will be: Your attack, enemy attack, (your attack) but if the enemy starts the fight, it will be: Enemy attack, your attack, (your attack).
Hit - your Hit%. If you're unlucky, you'll whiff a vital attack, but that's part of the spirit of Fire Emblem! Again, proceed with utmost caution.
Crit - your chance on a critical hit. If you manage to critically hit, your damage is tripled!

After the battle ends, your turn is over and you will gain experience points. If you gain 100, you will level up and get to roll for stat increases!
One more thing to handle are weapons and items. We're not done yet:

Before battle starts, you will choose a weapon. In the example earlier, our mage posessed a Fire tome and chose that to attack with. There's various weapon types to choose from, such as:
  • Swords - The most balanced of the three main weapons.
  • Lances - More powerful than a sword, but misses more often.
  • Axes - The most powerful, but miss the most.
These three use your STR stat and target the enemy DEF and have 1 attack range (however, there are exceptions that have 1-2 attack range)
These three weapons also engage in a "weapon triangle": Swords beat Axes beat Lances beat Swords. If you have Weapon Triangle Advantage, you'll be guaranteed to hit better than your opponent, and vice versa if you have Weapon Triangle Disadvantage. There's also:
  • Bows - Fairly accurate and strong, but not too many classes can use them. Have 2 attack range, so they cannot respond to counterattacks from the front.
Bows are not affected by the weapon triangle.
    Then there's magic:
  • Anima - Fire, Thunder and Wind tomes. Target RES instead of DEF and use MAG instead of STR. Have 1-2 attack range.
  • Dark - Only usable by Dark Mages. Powerful, but much more inaccurate.
  • Staves - Used by healer units. As you can guess, they are there for healing, but some are... special. Cannot be used in combat. Have 1 range, but there are exceptions!
There's also various consumable items, like vulneraries (that will heal your HP by 10) or elixirs (that will fully heal you), and others. We'll get to those when we obtain them.

Exhausted yet? Relax a little, you may now commence creating your character!

Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild!

One thing to note is that when your character reaches Level 21 (Dancer Gal, Priests/Clerics and Troubadours at Level 11), they will get the choice to pick a class to promote to, and you'll be even more stronger and badass than before!
(And one more thing: Gender Restrictions are gone. You can now have Male Pegasus Knights, Female Fighters etc.)
Here's a list of classes you can choose from (spoilered because this is a lot of stuff):
Spoiler : List of Classes :
Mounted/Flying Units:
  • Cavaliers - A rider on a horse. Usually fairly balanced units, but mostly lean a little to defense or strength. Wield Lances and Swords. Can move 7 squares at a time, but cannot pass hills. Promote to either Paladins (8 Move, can wield Swords and Lances), stronger versions of Cavaliers, or Great Knights (7 Move, can wield Swords, Lances and Axes), which are more defense-oriented.
  • Pegasus Knights - A rider on a pegasus. They're fast and have higher resistance than most units, but keep them away from bows and the Aircalibur tome - they're awfully weak to those. Wield Lances. Can move 7 squares at a time and ignore terrain (thus, they can fly over every square, even water and mountains). Promote to either Falcon Knights (8 Move, can wield Lances and Staves), even faster Pegasus Knights that are able to heal, or Dark Fliers (8 Move, can wield Lances and Anima Tomes), which can also use magic to attack.
  • Wyvern Riders - A rider on a wyvern. They sacrifice speed and resistance (what Pegasus Knights are known for) for sheer defense (includes HP) and raw attacking power. Wield Axes. Can move 7 squares at a time and ignore terrain (thus, they can fly over every square, even water and mountains). Promote to either Wyvern Lords (8 move, can wield Axes and Lances), even stronger Wyvern Riders, or Griffon Riders (10 move, can wield Axes), which aren't much different from Wyvern Lords, just a little weaker, but they get additional move range which could be vital.

Ground units that use STR:
  • Knights - Heavily armored units that have godlike Defense, but trashy Speed and Resistance. Wield Lances. Can move 4 squares at a time. Promote to either Generals (5 move, can wield Lances and Axes), an even stronger Knight, or Great Knights (see above).
  • Myrmidons - Masters of the blade with insane speed and skill. However, their strength actually ends up mediocre and their defenses aren't the best considering they rely on avoiding hits to not take damage. Wield Swords. Can move 5 squares at a time. Promote to either Swordmasters (6 Move, can wield Swords), even more skilled Myrmidons, or Assassins (7 move, can wield Swords and Bows), deadly killers that have a chance to land an instant kill (Current Crit%/2).
  • Thieves - Professional Pickpocketers that can open doors, chests, and even steal items from the enemies! Fast, but fragile. Wield Swords. Can move 6 squares at a time.
Promote to either Assassins (see above), or Tricksters (7 move, can wield Swords and Staves and move over every terrain, however move is halved for Water and Mountains), thieves that have perfected their technique and even give a helping hand with staff skills.
  • Barbarians - Ruthless and strong people that rely on critical hits and have a bucket of HP, but not the best hit rate or defenses. Wield Axes. Can move 5 squares at a time. Promote to either Berserkers (6 move, can wield Axes), even more deadly Barbarians, or Warriors (6 move, can wield Axes and Bows), durable and strong fighters with loads of strength.
  • Fighters - Fighters with lots of STR and quite a bit of HP, but not too great defenses. Wield axes. Can move 5 squares at a time. Promote to either Warriors (see above), or Heroes (6 move, can wield Axes and Swords), durable all-arounders that pack a punch.
  • Mercenaries - Well-rounded combat units. You can't go wrong with these - they're average to good in all stats. Wield swords. Can move 5 squares at a time. Promote to either Heroes (see above) or Bow Knights (8 move, can wield Swords and Bows), MOUNTED riders of the lands that can shoot arrows at their enemies and have a close-range option.
  • Archers - Refined bow users that rarely miss because of their high skill. However, they need some time to really ramp up, and they also cannot counterattack from short range. Wield Bows. Can move 5 squares at a time. Promote to either Snipers (6 move, can wield Bows), even stronger Archers, or Bow Knights (see above).

    Units that use MAG:
  • Mages - Smart bookworms that have studied Anima magic. Magical prowess, and thus a high MAG stat (and a lesser STR stat), and accurate and somewhat speedy as well, but they are very frail. Wield Anima tomes. Can move 5 squares at a time. Promote to either Sages (6 move, can wield Anima tomes and Staves), even wiser Mages that have a healing touch, or Dark Knights (8 move, can wield Anima tomes, Dark Magic tomes and Swords), MOUNTED magicians with destructive power and swords.
  • Dark Mages - The knights to the Mages - very good defenses and HP, and also strong magic (though Mages have a higher one). However, their awful speed and accuracy set their destruction back somewhat. Wield Anima tomes and Dark Magic tomes. Can move 5 squares at a time. Can promote to either Sorcerers (can wield Anima tomes and Dark Magic tomes), even more destructive and durable Dark Mages, or Dark Knights (see above).
  • Clerics/Priests - Devoted healers. With staves in their hands, they can cure even the most severe wounds and provide tactical assistance with special staves. Frail, but decent to good MAG stat and RES. Wield Staves. Can move 5 squares at a time. Promote to either Sages (see above), or War Clerics/Priests (6 move, can wield Staves and Axes), extremely badass units, I love them even more devoted healers that can also pack a small punch with those powerful axes.
  • Troubadours - MOUNTED healers. Because they have more movement than the normal Cleric or Priest, they could possibly be utilized better, but they have a tad bit better MAG than Clerics/Priests but a tad bit worse DEF (RES is equally good). Wield Staves. Can move 7 squares at a time. Promote to either War Clerics (see above), or Valkyries (8 move, Can wield Staves and Anima tomes), more efficient and wisdomful Troubadours.

    Special Classes:
  • Dancer - (Apps for Dancer are not yet allowed) A dancer that uses their dancing to motivate their allies (an ally that has ended their turn can move again). Fragile, but fast. However, this dancer has magical power flowing in their blood, and thus can call upon magical dances as well... (aka decent MAG stat/growth) Are able to dance. Wield Anima tomes. Can move 5 squares. Promotes to Coryphee (6 move, are able to dance, can wield Anima tomes and staves), an even more useful asset to the team than she was before.
  • Dread Fighter - A powerful fighter with a magically resistant skin. Versatile. Good STR, SPD and SKL, okay MAG, great RES, average other stats. Wield Axes, Swords and Anima tomes. Can move 6 squares at a time. The Dread Fighter is a class that needs a special item - if you obtain it, any unit can promote to Dread Fighter, regardless of their class.
  • Bride/Groom - An elegant fighter that has a bond with a person dear to them. Great SKL, SPD and LCK, good MAG and STR, average other stats. Wield Lances, Bows and Staves. Can move 6 squares at a time. The Bride or Groom is a class that needs a special item - if you obtain it, any unit can promote to Bride/Groom, regardless of their class.
You have quite a lot to choose from! I'd prefer it if we could get one of every class, but duplicates are fine as well.
Every player gets a primary and secondary character. The primary character will join in the room of the Prologue-Chapter 2, and if I have to, Chapter 3. This is so every player gets a chance to play. The secondary character appears at an appropriate time in the story/location. If both characters die, I might allow a tertiary character just so you can keep playing and we don't lose too many army members.
Now that that's done, get to apping:

Age: (How old are you?)
Gender/Sex: (You should probably know this one.)
Class: (There should be enough variety to pick from...)
Appearance: (Of course I'd rather not walk around with some black silhouette in the team...)
Personality: (How do you behave? Any traits that stick out, or habits?)
Backstory: (Let's hear of your tragic family story or how you fought yourself up the ranks to be the mightiest warrior of the lands!)
Recruitment Method: (Do you join at the start of a chapter? Do you need someone to talk to you? Are you an NPC or an enemy? Basically, how are you gonna join the guild? Put "join at the start" if you plan on being dispatched at the start of the prologue.)

Growth rates:
(This one's important. When you level up, you get a chance to get a +1 boost in one of your stats equal to your growth rate for that stat. Of course, growth rates themselves should respond to the assets and flaws your class brings (so a Knight wouldnt have a good speed growth at all, but rather a great defense growth.) These are the base class growths in Fire Emblem: Awakening (http://old.serenesforest.net/fe13/class_growth.html). However, your growths should definitely not be that low, I linked these to underline what class has which assets and flaws. To see what your growths should realistically look like, check (http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_characters_in_Fire_Emblem:_Awakening) and look at a character's growths for the class you want to pick. (Warning: Potential Awakening spoilers because of the Spotpass characters which are below the children) If you need help with Growth rates, feel free to either ask or leave them empty but say what you want them to be like (if you wanna lean more towards strength or skill or whatever...).)

Important Links
I could not thank Kwando more for these. <3 These are the FERP Calculators, however, you're only interested in one of them: The Previewer. The Previewer shows you the battle odds (I've talked about this above) of any battle that you can engage. Just put in those stats (I post these in the Status Check and Remaining Enemies at the start of every Player Phase) and you can see how your battle could come out.
I'll be using the Calculator to calculate the actual battle outcome. Status is for... well, we aren't that far yet! (But you can probably guess.)

Also, the Statsheets show Stats of Allies/Enemies, Inventories, all that. Just something practical.

Statsheet - Enemy (just click the chapter at the bottom of the site)

This reads as a troll app. It sort of is, but I will play this gimmick with all sincerity in this sea of special snowflakes (and stand on stairs).

EDIT: Added where he joins.
Spoiler : Given, the Archer :
Username: spd12
Name: Given (that is his name, it is a joke on the concept of a given name.)
Age: 20's? (too generic for anyone to care)
Gender/Sex: Male
Class: Archer
Apperance: Given is really basic and unmemorable, some sort of bland lanky caucasian guy. He's basically the generic enemy Archer sprite except he appears to have lost his helmet, and appears to be bald under the hood (tunic color can match whatever standard the guild uses, but he's basically this guy without the helmet). http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/Archer
Personality: Given basically has only two lines in the story, maybe three. One where he joins, one in an important story cutscene later on (so he is immune to permadeath because of this one single cutscene line, for no good reason otherwise). People may mistake him for the quiet and stoic type, but the fact of the matter is is that he really has near-zero overall weight or even characterization in the story outside of those few exceptions. As he shows absolutely no qualms with traveling with the rest of the player characters, one can assume he's just the basic loyal soldier, and leave it at that. Yes, he does technically have stat growth commentary lines and a "death" line. They're just equally generic. (Max out his support line for a bonus bit of speech... if you dare.)
Backstory: Given hardly has one. Nobody's really asked, he hasn't told... but he's not of a noble background or anything of the sort. He probably just showed up when the good guy types were putting together their merry little band and he's just been one of the numbers since. As he does not appear to have any extra ambitions or even stated opinions to the contrary, he's just allowed to carry on in peace (and occasionally stand on top of stairs like it's 3-13). He's a hopelessly generic filler unit that exists to either be benched forever, or because all the really good characters have already died, what more do you want?
Recruitment Method: He's intended to be there at the start, to be forgettable and unremarkable from the very beginning. He still doesn't have any interesting direct ties to the lead characters or anyone else, he's... just there.

Growth rates:
HP: 80%
Strength: 55%
Magic: 30%
Skill: 70%
Speed: 60%
Luck: 40%
Defense: 35%
Resistance: 30%

These are the exact same growth rates as Virion has, because he's that generic.

Spoiler : This is a short app, but can you deny the team a healer? :
Username: bLacKruNE
Name: Heac
Age: 25
Gender/Sex: Male
Class: Troubadour
Apperance: Has shoulder-length blue hair. Wear rectangular glasses that make him look somewhat like a scholar... if it wasn't for a diagonal scar on his right cheek.
Aside from that, his outfit is... well, a light-grayish robe. Seems a little more like a magician's outfit than that of a priest, though I suppose those are similar enough.

Personality: Generally polite and very interested in what other people have to say. Is somewhat protective of people and very risk-averse, preferring the safe route whenever it is available. Somewhat of a strategiest, he tries to plan ahead and give his input on a situation.

Backstory: Heac used to be a member of a mercenary group. He grew up with them, so he knows no other life. However, one day a battle did not go as planned and everyone except him and his best friend got slaughtered. His friend fought with the remaining enemies. Heac desperately tried to save him, but couldn't make it to him in time. The enemies slaughtered Heac's friend and proceeded to hunt him down. Heac barely made it out alive with merely a scar, but the event has left its mark.
After that fateful day, Heac decided to quite the battlefield for a while, trying to come to terms with the event. He immersed himself in books, actually studying the ways of the world, its wars, strategy, anything that might have helped him understand what went wrong that day.
Two years later:
He decided to give up on being a priest... and became a troubadour instead. He hoped that, with a horse, he would be fast enough to save anyone next time, and prevent another massacre...

Recruitment Method: Joins at the start of a chapter. (probably chapter 1?) I guess he'll just appear and have a talk with the lord or whatever.

Spoiler : YOU KNEW THIS WAS COMING :
Username: i was going to put a joke here but Gav

Name: Phantom (Maria)

Age: 22

Gender/Sex: M (F)

Class: Dark Mage (NOSFERATU MWAHAHA)

Apperance: Want your black silhouette? Here you go. Phantom wears a jet black cloak that covers the majority of his body except his eyes, which are deep blue.

This cloak is the uniform of the Shadow Vigilante Pluto, who is like the coolest hero in the world oh my god you guys isn't he cool and so edgy, but nobody else in the army needs to know that. Maria wears... Whatever the uniform of her hero happens to be at the time.

Personality: Phantom sees all. Phantom hears all. Phantom says nothing, but he communicates everything. (Or at least says nothing when he doesn't have to.) He also is the apprentice of Shadow Vigilante Pluto who is the best. Just the best.

In truth, Maria is a very mentally troubled young woman. She has serious hero-worship issues, and intentionally finds someone to cling onto so she can pretend to be their apprentice. She matches the "hero" entirely - in personality and in appearance. The only difference is that she can't be as heroic as the hero, or as smart. She always changes locations when she changes heroes (frequently due to petty things like letting one person on the side of justice die in a battle), because she's afraid of being discovered.

Backstory: Phantom wanders the land in search of evil for him to destroy and his master, Shadow Vigilante Pluto. He has fallen in with a band of adventurers in the snow-covered country.

From the day she was born, Maria knew she had one calling in life - to be accepted by those she knew she loved. Was there anything to cause this feeling? Nobody can really say. All Maria knows is that this is what she has set out to do. She travels in search of heroes to imitate and bands of adventurers to join. Whenever a hero has done something irrevocably evil, she leaves the adventurers without a trace and imitates a new one, changing classes along the way (explaining why she's at Level 1). Her current Hero is Shadow Vigilante Pluto, a vigilante cloaked in shadow. Whose name is Pluto.

Maria has managed to, dressed as the apprentice Phantom, worm her way into this band of adventurers...

Recruitment Method: Other unit during Chapter 1, standing in formation with the band of adventurers. The lord whoever she is notices and talks, confused.

Growth rates:

HP: 85%
Strength: 35%
Magic: 65%
Skill: 45%
Speed: 60%
Luck: 35%
Defense: 40%
Resistance: 50%

Given has joined the guild! Welcome to our adventure!
Class: Archer

Spoiler : Together We Ride :
Username: Enthalpy
Name: Mikael
Age: 28
Gender/Sex: Male
Class: Wyvern Rider
Appearance: Mikael’s most distinctive feature is his dark copper-colored skin, likely an oddity in cold Eissere. His dark brown hair is cut short, and his side swept bangs reveal his forehead just enough so that he looks more intelligent than most. Eyes are chestnut brown. He’s normally clad in the standard black, full-body armor of a more resilient fighter. No cloaks for him! He usually wears an indifferent expression, and is slightly shorter than average.
Personality: Mikael is pragmatic and “rational.” He’ll go into combat to help a fellow soldier who’s in trouble, but if the choices are a coin flip as to his survival and a fellow soldier’s, versus certain doom for the other guy? He’ll take his own survival, thank you. There’s no point in giving himself up for nothing. The emotional impact of his choice would likely slide right off him. Things happen in war, right?

Mikael likes to spend his time either training (to increase his own chance of survival) or in idle chatter. He doesn’t keep many, or any, close friends, but casual talking is a nice way to pass the time. …And this isn’t technically personality, but he has a consistent cough/sneeze.
Backstory: Mikael grew up as the second-youngest child of a large, but unlucky family in Senisse. Illness struck an already disease-prone family, and combined with some family debt to begin with, he had to work from a young age as a servant for a local nobleman. As time passed, his family’s fortunes continued to decline - two of his older siblings ran away for a new life, other siblings died of disease after some relatively expensive doctor visits, ect.

By his eighteenth birthday, Mikael was almost alone. All he had left was a Wyvern he had befriended years ago on the dunes outside city limits, on a “treasure” expedition. With his family all gone, he decided to take his Wyvern and become a mercenary. If it worked out for him, it would be a high-paying job, and maybe he could get back on-track. And if it didn’t, well, at least he’d go quickly.

Ten years later, he finds himself in Eiserre, without the success he had hoped.

Spoiler : Character :
Username: GhostlyBanette
Name: Adelphonsus "Al" Skorr, formerly known as the "Bane of Trop" and currently known as "The Ocean's Disgrace"
Age: 26
Gender/Sex: Male
Class: Myrmidion
Apperance: Adelphonsus wears a blue royal navy type of outfit that looks worn out and dirty. He has long, greasy red hair and his skinny body sometimes makes people assume he is a girl from behind - that is, until they see the front of him.
He has a lot of cuts and bruises on his body (which he hides under his navy outfit), and has some teeth missing. He also has a scraggly beard.

Personality: The Bane of Trop was a bloodthirsty, merciless pirate who attacked all ships he encountered, and is also said to be very brash and greedy, while also being a drunk. Is also known for having a sailor's tongue when it comes to talking, especially when he's aggravated or stressed.
Adelphonsus wouldn't deny those claims, because they were true. Emphasis on were. Nowadays, he is an angry, constantly hungover young lad who dreads to go back out to sea for reasons he won't explain. He still loves fighting, being known for getting into pub brawls when he's drunk and you can usually find him unconscious in an alley somewhere in the morning.
Although, he might have a slight soft side.
Backstory:
Adelphonsus is said by many sailors to be "of the sea", which means he was born on a ship. In more detail, he was son of a well known pirate Darius Skorr who also known as "Tyrant of Virrus". Once his father died during a sea battle, Adelphonsus inherited his ship; "Neptune's Knave" and many people expected yet another 4 decades of a sea feared by travelers and merchants.
They were wrong. Adelphonsus was not as good as his father, being quite reckless and fighting those in his crew who disagreed with his ideas. A year later and Al's crew decided to have a mutiny, chucking him off his own ship - a ship that had been his father's dying gift - and the new captain, a man by the name of Bradley said this to him:
"If I or any of my crew see or hear about you sailing anywhere, with anyone, we will hunt you down and gut you like a fish."
They also renamed Aldelphonsus as the "Ocean's Disgrace" and spread it across the ports, meaning that making a new crew was highly unlikely.
His pride and sea faring life gone, Al started wandering Virrus (specifically it's pubs and taverns) to find adventure (and a good drink), wherever it takes him. However, a part of him still dreads the day he must wander back to the sea.

Spoiler : App! :
Username: Sami-Fire
Name: Melanie
Age: 15 (Her reference pic says 14, don't mind that)
Gender/Sex: Female
Class: Knight
Appearance: Melanie has medium-short, bobbed black hair with bangs that are swept off to her right side. Her steel grey eyes are childishly large. Body type-wise, she's kind of petite, yet somehow she can support all that armor without a problem. (Reference pic... don't mind the app, just focus on her XD)
Personality: Energetic - Melanie is a bundle of energy that never seems to run out. She brims with energy, zipping from place to place, buzzing with chatter and curiosity and activity. It seems that she's always ready to get up and go whenever she's needed, or even when she's not needed.

Cheerful - Melanie always has a little spring to her step. She radiates joy and aims to spread it every which way. Her greetings are bright and exuberant, and she will almost always try to cheer a sad person up if she can. She might seem almost overwhelmingly joyful or saccharine to the people around her, which has earned her some suspicion and grumbles in the past.

Brave - Melanie will stand tall when other people back down. She will charge ahead to protect a friend or do what's right, and even when people try to intimidate her, she will press on. It's hard to make her back down from a challenge that she wants to take on.

Reckless - On the flip side, it seems like Melanie puts no thought into appraising the potential risks of what she's about to run into. She focuses chiefly on the outcome and not the hurdles she'll have to jump over to get there, and that leads to her taking risks that she shouldn't. She's very likely to take on an enemy that outclasses her because she thinks she can do it, regardless of the dangers posed.

Naive - Melanie is very trusting, almost gullible. She tends to take people at face value; people who are nice to her are best friend material, and mean people are nasty boogerheads. She fails to consider the possibility of ulterior motives to behavior or hidden depths.

Childish - Melanie may be 15, but she acts like she's 12. Or younger. She sees the world in very black-and-white terms and is easily bewildered by any gray spots. She is also prone to throwing tantrums when things don't go her way. Her world is still bright and fresh, and she puts great effort into making sure it stays that way; anyone who tries to ruin her good time is going to be subject to a tantrum.

Backstory: Melanie is the daughter of two Eisserian nobles. Her father was a prestigious leader of his portion of the army, and her mother was a very beautiful woman with some magical talent. She was frequently caught up in struggles between her mother and her father over her future; her father wanted her to at least learn to use a weapon, while her mother wanted to raise her to be a proper lady. Her mother's tendency for being a tad domineering caused her to favor her father, and so she would always beg to learn how to fight despite her mother's stubborn refusal. Eventually, her father began arranging secret training lessons for her, and she learned how to use a lance under her mother's nose. Unfortunately, her mother found out and threw a fit. Granted, her mother couldn't do much about that since the lessons were already underway, but she did throw in a barb about at least being a Pegasus Knight instead of a foot soldier. Her mother did, however, begin to fight with her father more and more frequently, to the point that Melanie thought they fought almost daily. One day, she saw her mother throw a vase at her father, and that was the last straw. She gathered up her armor and lance, got some provisions from her kind trainer, and ran away from home. She had heard whispers that another War of the Goddess was brewing, and she saw that as an opportunity to prove herself...

Recruitment Method: It might be a good idea to have her have just escaped from home, wandering around on the battlefield as an NPC, and recruited via talking (anyone should be able to recruit her, really, especially if they namedrop the Adventurer's Guild). Any chapter is fine, though I would prefer sooner than later.

Spoiler : App which is short but oh wells :
Username: kwando1313
Name: Naomi
Age: 23
Gender/Sex: Female
Class: Mage
Apperance: She's average height, standing at 5' 5". She has medium-length hot pink hair. In combat, she wears it in a ponytail, but otherwise, she tends to let it just flow. As opposed to a normal mage, she doesn't wear a hat (she thinks the hat looks ugly). She wears white robes (like the normal mage ones). They're lined on the inside so she can stay super warm.
Personality: She's quite an energetic girl. She prefers to be flashy over subtle. She's also a pretty nice person. No sarcastic quips, and genuinely cares about people. She isn't very focused though, and tends to be easily distracted. If need be, she can focus, but that tends to be in a rather serious situation. That being said, she's quick to think up with a plan on the fly. She doesn't like pre-planning if necessary - she just likes to let things go as they go.
Backstory: Naomi was naturally good at magic. She didn't really like reading or studying it, but when it came to practically applying it, she was really good at that. So, she made a name for herself at helping others with their problems. Later on, she realized that she wanted to go see more of the world and see if there were other people she could help! So she joined up to go explore the world in all its amazingness.
Recruitment Method: From the beginning.

Spoiler : Tactician Gurl :
Username: Monorion the Oracle
Name: Belynda
Age: 22
Gender/Sex: Female
Class: Tactician
Appearance: Heterochromic. Her left eye is teal-colored while her right one is purple. Long, flowy hair that reaches her knees. It is mostly purple but has a bunch of teal streaks (that also reach her hair tips). She has a long-sleeved white shirt and a purple short skirt (and a metal belt), with black tights and steel kneecap armor, and as footwear, she posesses black (or, very dark brown) boots that end just below the kneecap. Above all, her black robe sticks out the most, because there are words and sentences written on it in ancient font an average human cannot read.
Personality: Belynda is a more cheery yet calm person. She's humorous and mostly a good person to have around. The last few months, she trained herself in strategy and tactics, in preparation of leading her adventure guild on their long journey to her utmost best.
Backstory: Having lived since her birth in the snowy Eissere, Belynda is very used to the cold mountainous region and knows its ins and outs. She's a very history-interested person and knows a lot about Virrius itself. Her family hasn't really stopped her from becoming a history student through and through in the Eissere Academy. Her fellow history student and best friend, Andreas, stuck with her as they both graduated from the academy at the same time. However, Andreas soon became a strong knight of the royal Eissere army, so they were seperated. Soon after, Belynda had made the decision to go on a great adventure! So she decided to open up her own guild, looking for other people seeking a long journey through Virrius.
Recruitment Method: Joins at the start (obviously).

Spoiler : Berserker's Axe :
Username: GuardianDreamer
Name: Camila
Age: 24 (Roughly, she doesn't know her actual birthdate)
Gender/Sex: Female
Class: Barbarian

Appearance: Camila has tanned skin with some scars on it, though those are usually covered (most of them are on her back). Camila has mostly claret hair, except the tips are hot pink. The front of her hair resembles that of a Hime Cut, though the back of her hair is in a ponytail. She appears stronger than the average person, and is also noticeably taller than average (whatever the average height is in mysterious medieval fantasy land). She wears a basic tunic, and also has a fur coat that's sort of only half-on (it looks more like she's using it as a cape). Before every battle animation, she throws away the coat, and then it's mysteriously back on her sprite in order to repeat the process whenever she gets into another battle. Basically she's more covered up than the average Barbarian (there are no female Barbarians and the male Barbarian outfit on a female would be all kinds of rule breaking but you get what I mean), but not as covered up as people who actually wear armor. Her eyes are red.

Personality: Formerly a rather cruel person who lacked empathy for other people, Camila now gets furious whenever she thinks about the type of person she used to be. Camila is the type of person who absolutely loves battle. She isn't the type of person who tries to find a specific powerful challenger, but rather, she prefers to let loose and fight against many enemies at once. Camila has no hesitation about smiling during battles and she fights with a very reckless battle style. (Why yes, I do plan on having her go the Berserker path, why do you ask?)

Outside of battle, Camila is significantly more subdued. Once you've earned her loyalty, she will follow you to Hell itself. She does not hesitate to call people out on what she considers 'dumb' decisions. Due to her background, Camila is rather cynical, but she wishes that the world was a more idealistic place, and is actually more fond of idealists than overly-cynical people. She likes learning about how weapons are made, as well as the history of different weapon types. She actually became literate due to wanting to read a basic Weaponsmith's manual. She doesn't like people bringing up her past, and instead prefers to look forward to the future. Her dream is to become a Weaponsmith.

Despite being a former bandit (See backstory) Camila does not like most bandits, since she sees a lot of her past self in them. You can think of her as the type of person who seems calm at first, but reveals her true nature (Determined, passionate for battle, basically not cool and collected at all) pretty quickly.

Backstory: Camila is a former bandit who now basically wanders around the world to search for mercenary work, and also to find the next battlefield that will hopefully allow her to get stronger. She hails from Trop, and as a baby, her village was pillaged by a female-only bandit group. The leader of the bandits took pity on Camila, and Camila was lucky enough to resemble the leader's deceased younger sister, so as far as Camila can remember, that bandit group has been her family.

One might think that Camila would have a problem with this as she grew older and learned that her original family was taken from her, but she could never actually get angry. As far as she was concerned, the bandits were always her family. Considering the type of environment Camila was raised in, she grew up as a rather cruel person who thought nothing of slaughtering entire villages of people if it meant that she could feed herself and her comrades. She's nowhere near as cruel now, but one could easily have said that she had few morals.

All of that changed when she was a young adult. The merchants of Trop gathered together to hire many experienced mercenaries to help get rid of the bandit and pirate problems plaguing Trop, due to how damaging their presence was to the economy, as well as the innocent lives being taken. Multiple bandit hideouts were found, and Camila's group was no exception. Basically the entire clan of bandits was killed, leaving only a few survivors who managed to flee in time. Camila was one of those survivors.

Originally, she vowed revenge, but as the years went by and Camila traveled from village-to-village, her anger cooled down, though she still wishes that she could have done something more. It was to her immense displeasure that she basically had to find work as a mercenary since fighting was really her only skill... Considering the fact that mercenaries were the ones who killed most of her comrades, it was a bitter pill to swallow.

That's not to say it's all doom and gloom. Across her travels as a mercenary, Camila has actually been thanked for defending people, and she has actually made a few friends as a result. The sharp contrast from how she used to be feared to how she's now welcomed as a protector is rather jarring to her. The most important thing to keep in mind is that several years have passed since the fateful day that Camila survived a slaughter, and she has several conflicting feelings considering how she used to act, compared to how she acts now. Regardless, she considers her time with the bandits when they WEREN'T terrorizing people her happiest memories

At the time of the RP, Camila is searching for new challenges and is likely employed with enemy soldiers as a mercenary or something. While she's not as cruel-hearted as she once was, her thirst for battle has always remained the same. Above all, she wants to find happiness and meaning by actually helping other people.

Recruitment Method: Starts off as an enemy unit in Chapter 2, joins by Talk conversation. The following units can recruit her because their users volunteered when I asked around on xat: Belynda, Adelphonsus, Naomi, Edgar, Eowyn, and Melanie.

Growth rates:

HP: 120

(Note: Mostly a mix of Vaike and Basilio's growth rates as Barbarians/Berserkers. I considered looking towards Barbarian!Henry for inspiration too, but he's much more balanced between Magic and Strength no matter what class you pick for him (and has really different growths from Vaike and Basilio), which doesn't fit my character. The growth total here is equal to Vaike's.

For specifics, I basically boosted Vaike's 110% HP growth by an additional 10% by giving up 5% MAG and 5% RES. I also gave up 5% SKL in exchange for an equivalent boost to LCK.)

Spoiler : The Loyal Great Knight :
Username: Monorius the Prophet
Name: Andreas
Age: 24
Gender/Sex: Male
Class: Great Knight
Appearance: Clad in heavy light blue and steel armor, mostly. Under these he wears a white buttoned long-sleeved shirt and black pants. His hair is short, kind of messy and a sandy blonde. His brown eyes strike out as a discerning feature.
Personality: A history-loving knight of the royal Eissere army. He's very close to Belynda as they had studied together on the Eissere Academy, but when he had obtained an offer to work as a knight, the two were seperated.
Backstory: A young man from Eissere who lived under his parents different opinions. His father was also a history lover, and they read various books together about Varrius' previous wars and stuff like that. However, his mother was a famed Bow Knight, and trained him to fight in battles and ride a horse. When he got an opportunity to study at the academy, he of course accepted and took history and calvary classes. There, he met Belynda and the two became close friends. One day, a royal passed by the academy and saw Andreas be more potent than most other students, and even some of the royal's soldiers in his army. Andreas obtained an offer to join the royal army. He was very surprised, because he hadn't thought much of himself, but accepted, and turned out to be one of his most potent knights. He had been clad in armor and been similar to a sheer wall in battle.
Months later, when he found out Belynda had opened an Adventurer's Guild, he couldn't help but feel tempted to join, even though it would mean to neglect his duties. He told the royal that he would temporarily resign from the army. The royal wasn't very pleased, but ultimately understood his decision when Andread told him it was because of "family matters" and told him to stay safe. Belynda was very surprised by Andreas's sudden appearance at the guild but also very pleased at their reunion.
