Well, then, other people may take a shot at it. Because you have solved the riddle, you are permitted to use gold truth.
Re: Red Truth Riddles
I've heard of a similar situation, so I just want to check if it's the same one (I don't have to be the Riddle Master if it's the right answer, let someone else try)...

Re: Red Truth Riddles
Okay then, new riddle.
A young woman finds herself in a strange place and kills the first person she runs into. Then she makes some new friends who help her kill someone else.
Why are these killings taking place?
As per usual, if you already know the answer, hold back and let someone else try to figure it out.

Is the woman a serial killer?
According to Wikipedia, one must kill at least three people to be considered a serial killer, so by that definition, the woman is not a serial killer.
Is the woman a cop?
Is the woman's new friend a cop?
The woman is not part of any law enforcement agency, neither are her new friends.
Is the woman killing these people out of self defense?
The first killing was certainly not in self defense. I wouldn't label the second killing self defense, but I wouldn't label it murder either. Your mileage may vary.
Was the person she killed a criminal?
Both persons killed could be considered criminals.

Is the woman planning to be a serial killer?
Were any of the deaths an accident?
Did she think the second victim was after her?
