After scaling back the scope of my plan a bit, I've managed to whip together the majority of the assets I need. Just about ready to start working in the editor. Don't expect anything too crazy this time though. I'm not trying to one-up my previous stuff, just making a fun little case. This one will actually have a mystery to solve.

and yes acid rain does count as comp regular because they were in never trust the narrator

Smells Like AAO Spirit

Here's where I'm at. I've got the cast of characters and the mystery fully planned out from beginning to end, but what I don't have fully planned out is the order of how things are going to be presented to the player. I need to iron out the gameplay and turn this from "I thought of an elaborate mystery" to something that's actually playable and... a story. It's going to take a while to peel this mystery apart and decide how to distribute the clues. (I am still down to collab if anyone's willing.)

For now, here's one of the two hypeshots I'll show. Second one will come closer to the deadline. Also, here is a slightly annoyingly redacted version of my entry's current working title. Assuming the title doesn't change, I'll release an unredacted version closer to the deadline. One other thing I'll reveal is that, of the three previous comps I've entered, all of my entries have had references to a certain other franchise. This will be the first one to break that streak, which will be particularly ironic given this comp theme.
